DS Smith joins forces with the GoodPlanet Foundation
As part of their shared commitment to raising public awareness of the need to protect the environment in order to develop a more sustainable world, DS Smith Packaging France and the GoodPlanet Foundation have become partners for a period of three years.
Founded and chaired by Yann Arthus-Bertrand, the GoodPlanet Foundation aims to raise awareness among all stakeholders of the issues at stake while supporting solidarity projects around the world.
In addition, the GoodPlanet Foundation enables companies like DS Smith to support projects with a strong socio-environmental impact, whether they be field projects or environmental education and solidarity projects.
The GoodPlanet Foundation launches CAP 2030
From 17 October 2022, the GoodPlanet Foundation is launching CAP 2030, a national programme to raise awareness and mobilise 15-25 year-olds around major environmental and social issues. As part of its partnership with the GoodPlanet Foundation, DS Smith will now be taking part in this new educational programme.
The aim of the programme is to give young people a voice, to raise their awareness of environmental issues and to encourage inclusion, diversity and respect for gender equality.
To meet the ambitions of the CAP 2030 programme, the GoodPlanet Foundation has set up three awareness-raising and mobilisation projects:
Cap 2030 | YOUNG PEOPLE GET INVOLVED
A creative competition for 15-25 year-olds: 5 artistic formats to express your ideas about the world of tomorrow. The chance to sign up for free online workshops to help you with your creative work. A newsletter and social networks to keep you informed!
The Rencontres CAP 2030 consist of a series of two-day events across the region, spread over three years, giving 15-25 year-olds the chance to talk to people who are working every day for a more caring and ecological society: activists, associations, artists and scientists.
Cap Eco-délégués is a support and awareness-raising programme for eco-delegates from the region's collèges and lycées, designed to get pupils and their mentors involved in projects to raise awareness among their fellow pupils (organisation of events in the school, workshops, poster campaigns, etc.), to preserve biodiversity in schools (nest boxes, insect hotels, etc.), to reduce waste and to save energy.
CAP 2030: young people get involved
The GoodPlanet Foundation is launching CAP 2030, a national programme to raise awareness and mobilise 15-25 year-olds around major environmental and social issues.
In response to the environmental emergency and the desire of young people to be part of the change, CAP 2030 aims to educate the younger generation about the challenges of combating climate change, protecting biodiversity and promoting social justice.
