Re:work

Established in 1999, Re:work is a social enterprise and registered charity set up to benefit people across South Bristol, and particularly the area of Knowle West. Their objectives include increasing employment opportunities for those people not in paid employment.

Re:work offers volunteers and young people from the age of 12, a nurturing place to learn practical skills, build confidence and set their life on track. The organisation has three main projects: Re:build, which concentrates on construction related skills; Re:grow, which deals with all things gardening and landscaping; and Re:store, our used and up-cycled furniture retail initiative.

The Re:Grow team is dedicated to maintaining green spaces and grounds for businesses and organisations across Bristol. Their services range from daily litter picks to landscaping and maintenance contracts. The Re:build team takes commercial building contracts, from kitchen refits, painting and decorating, installing partition walls to complete refurbishments. The Re:store team collects donated furniture from homes and businesses across the city. With the help of their volunteers, the organisation refurbishes and up-cycles the furniture and sells it to the general public in their shop or via Ebay.
