For Vuch, a fashion and accessories brand, packaging is more than just protection; it is a crucial part of the customer experience. Founded in the Czech Republic a decade ago, Vuch has seen its customer base evolve through the years. As the company’s CMO, Kamil Brabec, notes, today’s buyers expect consistent service centred around faster deliveries and greater environmental accountability from brands. To meet these demands, Vuch has made a significant effort to reduce its carbon footprint by recycling and repurposing its products, forming business relationships with climate-aware partners, and opting for packaging that meets the brand’s sustainability goals.

The challenge abroad: Being premium at scale and speed.

 Vuch quickly scaled up its business beyond the Czech market and entered Slovakia, Romania, Poland, Hungary, and Germany. Reaching foreign customers with a guarantee of a quick delivery, however, made it crucial for the business to partner with fulfilment providers.

Although it allowed for the products to be available internationally, it added a new layer of complexity. The brand’s unique selling point—signature luxury packaging—became one of its biggest challenges, as it proved difficult to train logistics partners to meet the brand’s standards in presentation, sizing, and handling.

Maintaining the same premium feel while speeding up deliveries and optimising logistics meant Vuch had to rethink the entire packaging process. DS Smith worked closely with the Vuch team to deliver packaging that adapted to both operational and brand needs, providing a scalable and recyclable solution that preserved the brand’s premium unboxing experience—regardless of the destination.
