Design for the Circular Economy: On-Demand Event

In partnership with the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, DS Smith and Philips organised an event to share knowledge and best practice on circular design among the Foundation's Network.

This was a side event of the World Circular Economy Forum meeting in Brussels in April 2024.

  • Welcome and Introduction (00:00 - 16:50): The Ellen MacArthur Foundation highlighted the significance of circular design and explained how the Foundation is collaborating with its network of companies to encourage circular design innovation.
  • Showcase of Circular Design Innovation (16:50- 01:08:00): Short presentations from companies turning circular design theory into practice including Philips, DS Smith, JLR, and Coca-Cola.
  • Panel Discussion and Q&A (01:08:00 - 02:04:16): Focused on the role of regulations and policies in fostering circular design with speakers from the European Commission, the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, Unilever, and Essity.
