WD USA Mold-Vac
Worldwide Dispensers USA has further improved quality control procedures in its Class 10,000 cleanroom at its state-of-the-art facility in Lester Prairie, Minnesota, with the installation of a Mold-Vac system from CAE Services.
The new system is being used to eliminate gas build up during the moulding of a particular part and prevent the creation of tiny holes, which meant the part failed its quality inspection.
As a result of the installation, scrap rates have decreased and inspection times reduced. "Prior to using the Mold-Vac system, there were instances when we had to perform 100 percent inspection to determine which parts were saleable, whereas now that’s not an issue," explains WD USA Manufacturing Engineer Eric Gehrke.
"The Mold-Vac is helping to ensure that we continue to deliver the high manufacturing standards for which WD USA is renowned."
