All our paper mills conduct online infrared scanning to ensure we effectively manage reel moisture variation levels.
Automated corrective actions in the online infrared scanning prevent parameters from exceeding defined limits. All DS Smith customer reels are classified and monitored via a dedicated IT application.
Moisture evaluation on the customer reel level is based on the guidelines by CEPI and agreed with the FEFCO customer confederation.
