New General Manager for DS Smith Recycling in Italy
We’re pleased to announce the appointment of Giovanni Galimberti as General Manager of Recycling in Italy. Reporting to the Managing Director of Recycling in Southern Europe, Mike Harrison, he will be responsible for Recycling Operations in Italy.
Over the past 25 years, Giovanni has gained significant experience in the paper industry covering different roles at various companies. As well as running his own business, Giovanni has worked for multinational companies including partners of the International Paper and Mondi Group.
Based in DS Smith’s offices in Milan, Italy, Giovanni will bring his significant experience to the role and is responsible for managing a portfolio of around 600,000 tonnes of recycled paper and cardboard per year for DS Smith and it’s 3rd party mill network.
I am looking forward to joining DS Smith and working closely with customers to ensure we’re accelerating the circular economy through our closed-loop recycling solutions.
