A close relationship peppered by the flavors of Sabater Spices

Sabater Spices is a century-old company, located in the rich orchard of Murcia, in the town of Cabezo de Torres, which produces capsicums (different peppers), spices and herbs

Antonio Sánchez is in charge of the purchasing department. He is the person who chooses suppliers and maintains a relationship with them, besides getting involved in the projects.

The relationship with Tecnicarton and the company Sabater Spices began in 2004, after more than 10 years of relationship, the company still stands out from its supplier Tecnicarton's advice and cooperation for the development of packaging. This means that, as acknowledged by Antonio Sánchez himself, Tecnicarton is taken into account for his future projects.

And it's not a light offer. For this company, which is socially committed to the environment and its employees and suppliers, packaging is one of its first five objectives.

DS Smith Tecnicarton has developed for Sabater Spices a laminated container that contains more than 700 kilograms of paprika and chili, which is then sold to distributors, meat industries and other sectors that need these flavors.According to Antonio Sánchez, the collaboration with Tecnicarton has been consolidated thanks to the closeness shown by the commercial technique developed by the project. The visit to the Almussafes facilities to learn about its development and innovation processes and the visits of the production department to our facilities has forged a close relationship that is what we seek in our suppliers.

Antonio Sánchez personalizes this very careful attention in the figure of Eleni Missa, the commercial technique that unites the customer with the entire design and production department.

For Sabater Spices' purchasing manager, as for the entire organisation, it was also important for the packaging to comply with its environmental liability guidelines. Hence the choice of corrugated cardboard packaging whose raw material already comes from the recovery and which, in turn, is 100% recyclable when the customer discards it.

Respect for the environment and quality. This is another premise that packaging had to fulfil in order to meet Sabater Spices standards and requirements.

Once the product is accepted, Sánchez emphasizes the transparent and simple relationship between the company and its suppliers. That is why, according to Sánchez himself, the relationship they expect in a company is "a close and long-term relationship. They are looking for a "close and close relationship". And this is what they have found in Tecnicarton thanks to the role of the commercial technician who is attentive to their needs and their projects to always offer the best solution.

So much so that the goal of Sabater Spices for the coming years is to increase and improve its packaging lines and continue to offer its products worldwide. They are already present in more than 70 countries and their objective is to continue growing both in the incorporation of new products and in the expansion of their market.
