Working with your sponsors

Your sponsor will be a senior leader within DS Smith. A sponsor does not run the Network but serves in an advisory capacity. Their role is to advocate for the Network and to help it to achieve its goals.

Five Tips for working with your sponsor:

1. Give your sponsor advance notice of meetings and events so they can plan to attend and show their support.
2. Meet regularly with your sponsor to discuss progress. Discuss with them how they can help remove obstacles, connect you with leaders, and amplify your group's voice.
3. Share your Network objectives and plans with your sponsor. They should help to make sure you are aligning with company goals.
4. Proactively share articles, training opportunities, and insights that will expand their understanding of topics related to your Network.
