As Antonio Cebrián, Commercial Director of DS Smith Tecnicarton explains, sustainability is of great importance to the company and they work from all areas to promote it. In addition, they have recently joined the Now and Next strategy, through which DS Smith is committed to protecting natural resources by making the most of each fiber and reducing waste and pollution through circular solutions and equipping people to lead the transition to a circular economy.

DS Smith Tecnicarton has a strong position in the renewable energy sector because of the wide range of high value-added solutions it offers. This is a market with very high protection needs for its products, since they are delicate and very expensive pieces that have to arrive in perfect condition at their destination to guarantee their proper functioning for many years.

The company develops for this market a great variety of packaging solutions that range from kits for export to much more specific products, such as packaging for electrical components. All of them are developed in different materials designed to protect the product from dust, bird droppings and bad weather during transport and storage, and have interiors that are conditioned to guarantee the fastening of the parts and that they do not deteriorate.

In addition, in the case of electrical components, these packages are designed to prevent water condensation inside the cell, by means of an airtight environment that guarantees watertightness, as the parts could be compromised in the event of dampness. They can also incorporate complements that improve storage and offer useful information to check the state of the components.
