Layer pads

Layer pads are ideal for the palletisation of automotive components and are available in a variety of materials.

Corrugated cardboard layer pads

Layer pads are available in single, double & triple wall, depending on the application & rigidity required. They can be flat sheets, as in the image above to support a dashboard, or die cut to locate and isolate vulnerable automotive components and assemblies. Layer pads can be creased and folded too, creating incredibly rigid structures to support heavy loads for domestic and global distribution.

Polypropylene layer pads

Polypropylene layer pads are solid PP (Akyplen®), twinwall PP sheets (Akylux®) or bubble structure sheets (Akyboard®) with or without welded edges, resistant to moisture, oils and chemicals, therefore perfectly suited to the automotive industry.

They are rigid and light weight at the same time. These sheets are reusable (up to 50 trips) with a low damage rate per trip. They have a printable surface and are 100% recyclable.

They are particularly interesting when used in metal containers as interior fittings to protect the components inside.
