DS Smith wins WorldStar

The international jury of the World Packaging Organization (WPO) awarded DS Smith once again with a WorldStar. The display “AFTER EIGHT Geschenkschleife” belongs in its category to the most outstanding and innovative developments of the last year.

Only packaging and displays solutions, which have already been awarded in a national contest, can be nominated for a WorldStar. The display “AFTER EIGHT Geschenkschleife” for Nestlé qualified by winning the golden POPAI D-A-CH POS Award in June 2013. Now the solution of DS Smith was chosen out of 249 contestants from 35 countries and won the “Oscar” of the world of packaging. This award makes the development to one of the best worldwide.

The AFTER EIGHT Geschenkschleife Display

The AFTER EIGHT Geschenkschleife brought DS Smith a WorldStar in the category “Food”. Throughout the year in every occasion AFTER EIGHT is an excellent gift. DS Smith staged a strong secondary placement for the cult confectionary that generates impulse purchases in every gift season.

In the typical colors of AFTER EIGHT the display attracts the customers´ attention. It is formed like an open present and allows direct access to the premium product range. The big golden ribbon seems to be bound around the products and the 2-D sign is an eye-catcher. The specialty of the display with the ribbon-element is its functionality. It remains the same in every season. The 2-D-sign is changeable, so in each season a different sign can be used. This construction is based on an easy to handle hook and loop fastener.
