SCA one of the world’s most ethical companies

For the second consecutive year, SCA has been named one of the world’s most ethical companies by the Ethisphere Institute in New York. In its annual ethics survey, the Ethisphere Institute, which focuses on corporate governance matters, business ethics, corporate social responsibility, anticorruption issues and sustainability, examined more than 10,000 companies.

Of the companies reviewed by the institute, 99 were named best-in-class with regard to ethics within their respective industries. In addition to SCA, Nike, General Electric, Vodafone and AstraZeneca were included in the list of the most ethical companies.

“We are naturally pleased to have qualified as one of the most ethical companies in the world for the second consecutive year. The award is a recognition of our efforts to manage our extensive operations in a responsible manner,” says Ulf Söderström, Senior Vice President Business Development and Strategy at SCA, with responsibility for the Group’s sustainability matters.

This is the third year in a row that the Ethisphere Institute has conducted an ethics survey, which comprises several steps with far-reaching criteria and stringent demands on companies’ ethics work.
