FlexoTech 2015 award winning for DS Smith

DS Smith's know-how and high quality work in display and packaging products has been recognised, with a FlexoTech 2015 award ahead of hundreds of other entrants. The award was for its outstanding OPA Muurikka grill pan which was produced in Tampere, Finland.

There were about 350 different examples of work competing in 13 different categories. Only one submission per category could be declared winner in the competitive field.

OPA Muurikka grill pan’s packaging was produced in DS Smith's plant in Tampere. This corrugated cardboard packaging earned attention due to its challenging printing material and the CMYK process colour technology with which it was combined.  It was the only Nordic award-winning corrugated product.        

Corrugated packaging is a spectacular material, which can be implemented in even the most demanding imprints. In addition, it is an environmentally friendly material because it is made of completely recyclable natural material, and thanks to careful planning and efforts to improve the manufacturing process raw material losses have been minimised.
