DS Smith announced as one of the Finalists of the "Gouden Noot" (Golden Nut)

Gouda (The Netherlands) – The Dutch Packaging Centre (Nederlands Verpakkingscentrum, NVC) has announced DS Smith as one of the 10 remaining finalists still in the running for winning the "Gouden Noot" (Golden Nut). In total 36 companies participated to this Dutch packaging contest.

Amongst others Remia, Optimal Forming Solutions, Synprodo and DS Smith are all contenders for this award.

Innovative ideas such as fully biodegradable packaging and highly efficient packaging concepts were considered by the jury during a 3 day meeting.

All nominees are now registered on the website of the NVC where comments can be added.  Each finalist will have the opportunity to convince the jury during a 30 minute presentation.

On Tuesday October 5th, the winner will be announced in the Holland Casino in Utrecht during the 8th edition of the National Packaging Innovation dinner.
