SCA Recycling sponsors the Awards for Excellence in Recycling and Waste Management

On May 5th this year the annual Awards for Excellence in Recycling and Waste Management will take place in London

As SCA Recycling is at the forefront of recycling in the UK, it is committed to increasing the awareness and importance of sustainable waste management through responsible recycling, and will be sponsoring the award for ‘Best community recycling initiative’ at this years event.

The prestigious Awards for Excellence, now in their 7th year, are renowned for showcasing innovation, dedication and success in recycling and waste management. These awards are being organised by Letsrecycle.com.

Letsrecycle.com is the UK’s leading independent dedicated website for businesses, local authorities and community groups involved in recycling and waste management. Their philosophy is to champion achievements in waste minimisation, re-use and recycling, whilst recognising the continuing need for a range of sustainable waste management options.

Entries are welcomed from local authorities, companies, the community sector and individuals. A panel of judges with a broad range of experience in the recycling and waste sector have been chosen to ensure there is a variety of knowledge available for assessing entries. ‘The Best community recycling initiative’ award is one of the many categories this competition focuses on. Other award categories are: ‘High street recycling champion, Commercial recycling champion, Waste Management initiative in the commercial and public sector, Innovation in design of a waste management facility, Collection crew of the year , CA (civic amenity) of the year, Best local authority recycling initiative and Local Authority recycling champion.’
