DS Smith launches Chinese website

DS Smith has launched its 38th different country webpage on DSSmith.com – the most in the industry. The newest country page was recently launched to support the opening of DS Smith China.

“Good packaging has to meet the needs of businesses at every step in the global supply chain,” said Hugo Fisher, DS Smith Group Communications Director. “But truly exceptional packaging also has to recognise that there are local needs in different markets and incorporate those needs into the design and performance. That is why we are extremely proud to offer DSSmith.com in so many languages and places – it helps us better understand, and meet, our customer’s needs.”

China was the ninth new country page added in the last year. The previous nine, which launched following acquisitions by DS Smith, were: Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Macedonia,  Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey.

“Ultimately we feel that DS Smith’s Packaging Strategists, with their supply cycle thinking, can help businesses in these regions hone the competitive advantage of exceptional packaging through lower costs, increased sales and managed risks. But in order to do that we need to tell them why DS Smith is a different kind of packaging company. To do that well we need great localised websites everywhere we operate.”

Much of the content on DSSmith.com is the same for all countries, with explanations of different product offerings, industry specific packaging, an explanation of DS Smith’s unique collaborative approach and more. But each country site is then further enhanced with case studies showing how DS Smith has delivered results for a local partner, local events, awards and more.
