LEGO® category finalists complete workshops

Designers of the shortlisted entries to the LEGO category of the Packaging Design Challenge completed a two-day workshop in Denmark.

Last week, the LEGO category finalists were flown from all over the world to Billund, in Denmark, where LEGO’s headquarters are. The first day was spent at LEGO premises, getting acquainted with the production process of LEGO products. Candidates got invaluable insights on the LEGO Group product and design development processes and specific packaging-related information, such as packaging testing methods and supply chain needs.

On the second day, finalists visited SCA Packaging Denmark’s Design Centre in Vejle, not far from Billund. They spent the day getting first-hand feedback and support from our Danish designers in the running towards the big final.

Finalists now have one month to fine-tune their projects, which will be presented back to the jury members on March 28 in Brussels, Belgium. The winners the SCA Packaging Design Challenge 03 will be announced during an award ceremony and networking dinner organised in partnership with ENG’s Packaging Design conference.
