DS Smith Plastics opens the investment taps at Worldwide Dispensers’ Minnesota facility

Packaging specialist DS Smith Plc., Plastics Division announced today that it is investing 4 million USD in the strategic expansion of its Worldwide Dispensers’ injection molding facility located in Lester Prairie, Minnesota (USA).

The investment expands  the current facility to over 80,000 sq. ft. and will include the addition of high precision injection molding and assembly assets. A 2,000 sq. ft. state of the art product development lab will also be constructed on site at the facility and will support the development of new products, unique tool and part designs and rapid prototyping in 48 hours or less.

This best-in-class commercial space reflects DS Smith’s determination to offer customers an unparalleled level of service and represents a solid foundation for future growth.

The injection molding facility will be exceptionally efficient thanks to the highly automated assembly operations.

The completion of the expansion is scheduled for the spring of 2018.
