Group Operating Committee

The Group Operating Committee (GOC) is the Group Chief Executive’s management board for considering Group-wide initiatives and priorities.

The GOC meets monthly to review the development and implementation of strategy and operational plans; to review changes to policies and procedures and to discuss the development of new projects. It is made up of the following Executive Directors, divisional and functional heads: 

Group Chief Executive

The Group Chief Executive is responsible for the leadership and operational management of the Group within the strategy and business plan agreed by the Board.

Group Finance Director

The Group Finance Director oversees all financial aspects of the Group's strategy and is responsible for the accurate, timely and relevant flow of financial information to the Group Chief Executive, the Board and external parties such as investors and financial institutions.

Group General Counsel and Company Secretary

The Group General Counsel and Company Secretary has overall responsibility for legal, company secretarial and governance matters, and Group risk and insurance and property.

Chief Executives of Operating Divisions

All Chief Executives of the Group’s operating divisions are members of the GMT.

Group Human Resources Director

The Group Human Resources Director has overall responsibility for the company’s personnel and training strategy. He contributes to overall company strategy and policy making by advising on the personnel and human resource implications of decisions.

Chief Procurement Officer

The Chief Procurement Officer leads the Global Procurement function across the entire enterprise, including all business units and regions, for all direct and indirect sourcing and procurement, except for paper and fibre.
