Each year, more than 100 made-to-measure machines leave the factory, destined for everything from erecting and closing corrugated cardboard cases, to automated packing.
The key to DS Smith Packaging Systems’ success is its unique erecting concept which constitutes the core principle of the machines. The diecut cardboards are formed around a metal component known as the mandrel, which enables a very precise case forming.

Much like the other case erectors in the range that have made DS Smith Packaging Systems a household name, the 150Ls guarantees cases that are perfectly geometrically uniform, right down to the millimeter thanks to the mandrel. With maximum productivity guaranteed and no untimely stoppages, your end-of-line machines can perform at the best of its ability. In addition, the mandrel technology makes it possible to erect thin cardboard with various types of fluting. Completely adjustable, the 150LS offers amazing flexibility of use thanks to the large number of case shapes available (transport, retail-ready, display). It can erect open or closed cases, four- or eight-sided packaging units, as well as units equipped with self-locking centering systems.

The 150LS case erector received a warm welcome from visitors when it was first introduced to the world at the Hispack packaging expo in Barcelona in April 2015. There, visitors were also able to witness various demonstrations of the case erector. An octagonal case capable of holding 6 bottles was created especially for this event.
