The report focuses on our performance for the year and describes how each of our divisions is contributing to our integrated business model.
Operating profits were up 23% on the previous year at £307 million, delivering earnings of 21.4p and a dividend of 10p per share for our shareholders, demonstrating the strength of the combination of our packaging, paper, recycling and plastics operations.
DS Smith Sustainability Review 2014
Entitled 'The Balance of Sustainability', the review underlines the considerable progress DS Smith has already made towards achieving its corporate sustainability goals. In 2010, DS Smith announced a ten-year programme designed to deliver a 20% reduction in the following areas:
- CO2 emissions from fossil fuels
- Water usage in paper mills
- Waste sent to landfills
