DS Smith exhibiting at Europe's leading home delivery show

DS Smith is excited to announce it will be exhibiting at this year’s Home Delivery World Europe show.

With the ever increasing pace of change within multi-channel offerings, events such as the Home Delivery show are a crucial platform for supply chain specialists to engage with one another and demonstrate best practice.

The show is to be held over 28th – 29th April 2015 in London at the Business Design Centre, and will be attended by key influencers in the home delivery channel with an impressive line-up of key note speakers. You will find DS Smith located on Stand 4, so please feel free to come and visit.

The event will present and debate the opportunities and challenges faced in home delivery. Topics to be covered at the event will range from packaging, to customer expectations as well as costs and profitability.

Packaging has a crucial part to play in home delivery as it not only provides protection all the way through to the shopper collecting or receiving their product but is also vital for maximising efficiency through the supply chain.

Leading supply chain specialist DS Smith produces corrugated packaging, as well as collecting material for recycling from many sources including retailers and factories. The recyclate is quickly transformed into new materials and packs, playing a key role in the circular economy and delivering business benefits including less cost, less waste, and effective management of business risk.

Alan Potts, Insight Director at DS Smith’s UK packaging division, said: “We are extremely excited to be not only attending but exhibiting at this year’s Home Delivery show. It provides the perfect platform to network and engage with key industry contacts, and to listen and learn about the opportunities and challenges the sector faces.

“Packaging is a fundamental element in the home delivery process as it protects the product and impacts the overall supply chain process from production to delivery. At DS Smith we have invested in a simulated e-retail environment at our Impact Centre in Ely where we work with customers to consider all aspects of the home delivery supply chain. We understand that the shopper experience applies to home delivery as much as it does with in-store purchasing; translating brand values successfully into customers’ homes around the country is absolutely critical to any home delivery strategy.”
